How To Raise A Problem Solver: Stop Doing Everything

The more you do for your child the better the parent, right? Yet if this is true, how does a parent raise a responsible, hard working, problem solver? Here’s How: When you hear “I’m thirsty.” or “I can’t find my shoes,” Respond with, ” What’s a solution?” Your kids will quickly learn that they can find the answer and that feels good. Praise their budding problem solving skills with phrases like “I knew you could do it!” and “good for you!” Now that’s inspiring.
