Before you lay out your kids’ clothes for the day, make their lunch, or pack their backpacks, ask yourself how your are helping build their sense of responsibility, self-esteem, or work ethic? Sure, you will pick out a darling outfit, yet those skills of self care provide pride in accomplishment. Choose one task tomorrow that you normally do, and let your child to do it. Show them how & then praise and encourage their efforts all week. You will be amazed!
