Let Your Kids Do Their School Work, Not You

AS TEMPTED as you may be, don’t do your kids’ school projects or homework. I know, I know, you’re only trying to “help,” yet you’ve already had your turn at Kindergarten thru 12th grade. Now, it’s your child’s turn. Do what you can to make sure your child has the supplies and enough time to finish, and then step back and praise their efforts. “Wow, great thinking!” “What fun colors,” or “You are working hard on that project. good for you!” Your words of encouragement and support are more important than an A+ or any blue ribbon. Let your kids shine all by themselves and they will.
