Stick By The Boundaries You Set And Be Mom, Not Friend

ONE OF THE HARDEST THINGS ABOUT PARENTING IS ESTABLISHING HEALTHY BOUNDARIES AND THEN CONSISTENTLY REINFORCING THEM. No parent wants to be the “bad guy.” At the end of the day, who has the energy to be the enforcer, especially if you’ve been away from your kids all day?! YOU DO! even though it’s hard. You need to be the one who clearly, consistently, and repeatedly reinforces those boundaries. If you don’t, who will? Your kids need YOU to define those boundaries. They will ultimately learn them, respect them, and count on them. They will thrive as they honor and respect you more for being the “bad guy. Believe me, it gets easier. Start today!
